A wine lover’s and foodies paradise, Launceston is Tasmania’s second largest city, nestled near the banks of the Tamar River.
It is hardly surprising that you will find a large amount of history in Launceston it is after all Australia’s third oldest city, behind Sydney and Hobart.

A visit to Launceston and surrounds is the start to the exploration of many natural and historic attractions, with all the fuss and frenzy cut out. As well as the natural and historic attractions, Launceston is also home to Aurora Stadium and Cataract Gorge Reserve – must see places if you do happen to be up in northern Tasmania.
