A wine lover’s and foodies paradise, Launceston is Tasmania’s second largest city, nestled near the banks of the Tamar River.

It is hardly surprising that you will find a large amount of history in Launceston it is after all Australia’s third oldest city, behind Sydney and Hobart.



A visit to Launceston and surrounds is the start to the exploration of many natural and historic attractions, with all the fuss and frenzy cut out.
